A good school counselor, with the help of parents and community, has always been the cornerstone of student success.
But did you know that today's school counselors study data to determine which students are not being adequately served; address student mental health concerns; and are often times the only advocate a child has?
For years, ACA has called for smaller student-to-counselor ratios and greater access to college and career readiness tools and resources. Our leaders in Congress have to understand that ALL children should receive an equal shot at success regardless of their life circumstances.
