Richard Yep, Chief Executive Officer of the American Counseling Association (ACA), has accepted a nomination to join the Executive Committee of the United Nation’s Department of Public Information/Non-Governmental Organizations (DPI/NGO).
He will also serve as the Communications Chair for the Executive Committee.
The DPI/NGO is a group comprised of organizations from around the world that advocate to the United Nations for issues of importance. The American Counseling Association has served as an advisor to the United Nations on mental health services for more than a decade. Mr. Yep aims to utilize his appointment to the DPI/NGO’s Executive Committee to advance the counseling profession and widen ACA’s sphere of influence.
He was recently featured in
Washington Business Journal’s “People on the Move” for his nomination.
